New possible fibromyalgia medication

A new oral medication is showing promise for fibromyalgia treatment, read about it here.

  1. "According to Dr. Pridgen, chronic tissue-resident herpes virus may be an underlying cause of fibromyalgia. IMC-1 represents a novel treatment by combining an anti-herpes virus nucleoside analog with the anti-herpes virus activity exhibited by a COX-2 inhibitor."

That was the most interesting part, for me. Not only a possible treatment, but a possible SOURCE? Now THAT is cool.

  2. This is some great (promising) research. I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses.
